Late Saturday afternoon and I'm relaxing on the couch while breaking in my 4 inch heels. Why? I'm not really sure, but me and Vanessa have taken to walking around the apartment in heels. Perfect time to do a survey!

Speaking of food, tonight I am hosting a soirée raclette at my apartment. In case you're wondering, it looks something like this:

You're supposed to put the cheese in the dishes and melt them under the mini stove. Then you pour the cheese on potatos and eat it with meat - yum! Today I went to the store to buy all the fixings and I stood looking at all the meats for at least 10 minutes. I couldn't figure out which meats were raclette-ish aside from salami, so I asked a random guy standing next to me, who proved to be unhelpful. He just shrugged and said "You can use whatever you want" before quickly walking away. Thanks for the advice (and for making me feel like a creeper)!
Last night I went to the French couple's house to watch the handball semi-finals (France vs. Denmark, France won) and eat dinner. It was my first time watching handball, which is pretty much basketball, soccer, and football mixed into one sport. Guys run around dribbling a ball and try to toss it into a soccer goal sized net, while tackling each other. After dinner, I was served Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee (#99 on the list), which is supposedly the best coffee in the world and is quite expensive. I thought it was very tasty, quite mild, and just knowing I was drinking Blue Mountain coffee made me feel pretty special :) but on the other hand, other than the reputation, I can't see what all the fuss is about. I would be just as happy drinking a cup of San Marco (my fave. coffee brand here, 4 Euros for 250g).
Yesterday in class, we learned the verb "to love" for Valentine's Day. I asked the kids to tell me what they love and, of course, a little boy raised his hand and said, "I love big lolos." Lolos is French for boobs. This kid is freaking 10 years old! So I thought I must have misunderstood him and said, "You love what?" He repeated himself, this time using gestures. Excellent.

To cross out is the (strike) (/strike) tag, but replace ( with <. And haggis is good! But, I did not see it whilst in the stomach, so it just looked like ground beef or something.
